     Satiini on satiinisidoksinen kangas, jonka pinta on kiiltävä ja sileä, ja nurja puoli mattapintainen. Tämän kankaan parhaat ominaisuudet ovat miellyttävän pehmeä rakenne, kauniisti laskeutuva ja helppohoitoinen materiaali.

     Hienovarainen kiilto tekee kankaasta elegantimman ja kauniimman, joten tätä kangasta käytetään useimmiten tyylikkäiden vaatteiden ompeluun. Siksi se on erinomainen kangas mekkoihin, hameisiin ja korsetteihin.

     Tämä kangas sopii erinomaisesti tunikoihin, puseroihin, kauniisiin paitoihin, liiveihin, jopa ilmaviin vaatteisiin ja yöasuihin. Satiinia käytetään myös erilaisten sisustustekstiilien, kuten verhojen, tuolinpäällisten sekä pöytäliinojen ompeluun.
